Quinceanera

Congratulations on celebrating your quinceanera!

We hope this celebration will bring you and your family closer to God by experiencing the special graces that come from celebrating a Mass honoring you and your 15th birthday.

In each quinceañera, we remember the very first 15-year-old who made the decision of a lifetime that would change and save the entire human race. The Blessed Virgin Mary was that first Quinceañera for whom the Catholic Church celebrates and honors all 15-year-olds. A quinceañera is not a “coming of age,” but a special moment in the life of each 15-year-old, whereby she rededicates her life to be a more perfect follower of Christ as The Blessed Virgin Mary did.

As a rule, only registered parishioners here at St. Mary can hold quinceañeras in this parish.
The honoree must be baptized in the Roman Catholic Church and must have received First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and be enrolled or confirmed in the Sacrament of Confirmation prior to the time of the ceremony. (Certificates must be provided.)

It is very important that you contact the rectory to reserve a date for the Church at least 6 months in advance and before booking the ballroom. Otherwise, your event may not be performed here at St. Mary’s Church. Email info@saintmaryplano.com
