Jr. High (7-8th)
Welcome!
We are excited to introduce to you our new Jr. High movement - Heart’s on Fire ( HOF )
This is a movement to bring the youth into an encounter with Jesus Christ in a way that is relatable to them. Middle school can be a challenging place. We want to provide a place for them to feel free to talk about those challenges. We will be taking a different approach that will allow the Holy Spirit to be encountered within each heart.

The HOF team will also provide talking points for the parents throughout the year, for parents to be engaged in their child’s experiences.
​
In addition, the youth will have an opportunity to live out what it means to be a disciple of Christ.
Being a part of HOF nights will bring your son/daughter into a relationship with Christ that is truly filled with the Holy spirit.

Estamos emocionados de presentarles nuestro nuevo movimiento Jr. High - Heart's on Fire (HOF)
Este es un movimiento para llevar a los jóvenes a un encuentro con Jesucristo de una manera que se pueda relacionar con ellos. La escuela intermedia puede ser un lugar desafiante. Queremos proporcionar un lugar para que se sientan libres de hablar sobre esos desafíos. Adoptaremos un enfoque diferente que permitirá que el Espíritu Santo se encuentre dentro de cada corazón.
El equipo de HOF también proporcionará puntos de conversación para los padres durante todo el año, para que los padres participen en las experiencias de sus hijos.

We Meet every Sunday | Nos reunimos cada Domingo

What do the weekly meetings look like?
Every evening will begin with prayer. Team leaders and youth will then listen to a presentation by a speaker who could be a member of clergy, community leaders, parishioners, or an outside speaker. The presentations cover a wide range of topics that youth face in their current culture. Next, the youth will break off into small groups.
Small groups are set to develop a deeper bond/relationship with others. In small groups, there is prayer, activity, and discussion of the presentation. The evening will end with praise and worship, meditative prayer, or an opportunity to share insights from small group.
¿Cómo son las reuniones semanales?
Cada noche comenzaremos con oración. Los líderes de equipo y los jóvenes luego escucharán una presentación de un orador que podría ser un miembro del clero, líderes comunitarios, feligreses o un predicador externo. Las presentaciones cubren una amplia gama de temas que enfrentan los jóvenes en su cultura actual. Después, los jóvenes se dividirán en pequeños grupos.
Los grupos pequeños están configurados para desarrollar un vínculo/relación más profundo con los demás. En pequeños grupos, hay oración, actividad y discusión de la presentación. La velada terminará con alabanza y adoración, oración meditativa o la oportunidad de compartir ideas de un grupo pequeño.
The Sacrament of Confirmation
In order to receive the sacrament of Confirmation your child(ren) must be enrolled in our Jr. High program for two consecutive years. Confirmation preparation classes will be offered in the second year.

There will be four classes that your child(ren) must attend (at times parents may be asked to participate as well). These will be held in the springtime.
​
All youth are also expected to attend a retreat and receive the sacrament of reconciliation before the reception of Confirmation. Confirmation Mass will be offered in the fall.
Para recibir el sacramento de la Confirmación, su(s) hijo(s) debe(n) estar inscrito(s) en nuestro programa de Jr. High por dos años consecutivos. Las clases de preparación para la Confirmación se ofrecerán en el segundo año.
Habrá cuatro clases a las que su(s) hijo(s) debe(n) asistir (a veces se les puede pedir a los padres que también participen). Estos se llevarán a cabo en la primavera.
También se espera que todos los jóvenes asistan a un retiro y reciban el sacramento de la reconciliación antes de recibir la Confirmación. La Misa de Confirmación será en el otoño.
