Welcome to St. Patrick’s Cemetery
In 1907, John Dowd sold the two acre cemetery to the Catholic Bishop of Chicago. The earliest death date found on tomb stones was Joseph Wright in 1882.
The St. Patrick Cemetery is a sacred place and a testimony to the Christian belief of Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection. It is our duty to perform the corporal work of mercy of burial of the dead and care of this sacred space in a compassionate and caring fashion. With our dedicated volunteer staff we will proclaim through our words, work and example, the tradition and teaching of the Catholic Church which relates to death, burial, and devotion to the departed souls.
If you are in mourning, please have your Funeral Director contact us for arrangements.
Remember to keep your deed in a safe place and make a copy available to your trustee.
